When you practice Spanish every day with native speakers you learn fast and naturally. In my courses in San Antonio de Areco, a small city near Buenos Aires, you will meet friendly people always happy to chat with you and you will make friends soon.
For example, Vera, one of my students, and I visited a silversmiths' workshop as an exercise to practice Spanish. There she met the silversmith's daughter who explained to her in Spanish how her father crafts each piece and showed her around. Before we left, she and Vera exchanged telephone numbers and at the end of the week they went together to a costume party. There are still friends now.Practicing Spanish in one of the oldest pubs in San Antonio de Areco
Gaucho parade at the Tradition Festival
This city has a laid-back atmosphere. When you go shopping groceries, friends greet you in the street and stop to chat with you. In summer your neighbours invite you to their swimming pools, where you meet their friends. It is a beautiful and safe place where young children can cycle to school and to the sport clubs alone.
While staying in San Antonio de Areco you are going to experience the Argentinean history "alive". There 150-year-old pubs still offering drinks and snacks, young people go out in traditional clothes; and silversmiths and rawhide plaiters craft their works using old techniques from the 19th century and in November the city is flooded with thousands of Argentinean cowboys, "Gauchos", riding their horses during the Traditional Festival, dancing and playing folk music, showing their best horseman skills in the field!
The XVIII Horse Drawn Carriage Event is a big in the city's calendar!
It is the largest Driving Carriage festival in the pampas of Argentina and in South America!
On Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th October over thirty driving carriages will gather in San Antonio de Areco,
Buenos Aires to show their driving skills, their sumptuous horses and carriages in obstacle trials, parades
and competitions!
There is also a Pescante-Pic display where all the contestants must enhance their creativity and resources to
recreate Picnic tables on the grass, the way it used to be in those times.
It s an amazing event to attend!
Mostly a celebration of beauty, elegance, history and pride!

My immersion courses combine conversational Spanish classes with real-life activities with native speakers outside the classrooom. Every week, after communication-oriented lessons, you will put your Spanish into practice in the most stimulating situations speaking with the locals in Spanish, with me.
Every Friday we go out into the Spanish "real world" together while you cross the barriers and speak to the shop assistants, silversmiths, the supermarket cashier or casual friends we may meet, in any situation that is meaningful and useful to you!
Because I know students can be encouraged to learn a language by practising different activities, I will tailor your course based on your interests, your goals and your own pace of learning and you can do activities you enjoy in Spanish such as:
After the classes the city of San Antonio de Areco gives you plenty of opportunities to make friends in this small community and put into practice what you learned with me, in the shops or pubs.
I use authentic material relevant and important to each student. In class we will be reading newspapers and books, singing Spanish songs and role-playing every day. Through the understanding and speaking of the real Spanish you will grasp the Argentinean culture and get to know the Argentinean style.
My experience, passion and care for teaching has led me to give you real-life Spanish courses. And when we come together, it is amazing what we can accomplish! You are going to learn Spanish fast speaking with the locals and meeting new friends here!
You can join our group courses if your Spanish level and your interests match those of the other students. To get the most of your stay in Argentina, we recommend you to take one-to-one lessons with real-life activities you enjoy.
